Abby & Tyler

Abby’s little sister. She’s known Abby her whole life, which means she has more embarrassing stories than anyone else up here. Now she gets a front-row seat to watch her big sister get married. She’s your go-to girl for any last minute wedding questions.

Samantha and Abby met in riding lessons when they were about 12 and have been through every phase of life together since. They once had a sleepover last a whole week! At this point she’s basically an adopted sister. The only thing missing is the paperwork.

Alexis and Abby met on Clemson’s equestrian team. When Abby got the chance to bring back her old horse, Berri, Lexi offered her a home at her place and made it happen. Now that Abby lives farther away for school, Lexi takes care of Berri day to day, and puts up with her periodic naughtiness.

Gretchen and Abby met in organic chemistry, then both ended up on Clemson’s equestrian team. Abby rarely gets her nails done, but when she does, Gretchen is always the one who did them, including for our engagement photos. Our nail dates are always a welcome break from studying!

Brennen rode with Abby on Clemson’s equestrian team and was always Abby’s hotel roommate at horse shows. Together they survived plenty of sleep-deprived early show mornings, long days at the barn and late nights getting ready for the next day.

Tyler’s nephew, and yes, also named Tyler. They’re so close in age that they grew up more like brothers than uncle and nephew, and they did everything together. If someone asked “Where’s Tyler?” it didn’t matter which one they meant, because the answer was the same.

Tyler’s cousin and his biggest role model growing up. John got plenty of free labor out of Tyler over the years, and Tyler got a wealth of mechanic knowledge in return, which explains a lot of the Our Story page.

Conner and Tyler met in 2016 through Conner’s older brother. They’ve been roommates since 2018, and Conner still lives with us. He’s the life of the party, so look for him on the dance floor, getting everyone else out there.

Tyler’s “big” nephew. Cody is actually older than Tyler, which is just how this family tree works. They grew up together, and their hobbies have included jousting on dirt bikes in fat suits. If you want the full story, ask either of them at the reception, but don’t ask who won unless you have some time.

Alan and Tyler met through a mutual friend while living at the same apartment complex, and bonded over golf. Tyler didn’t know at first that Alan was really good. The photo is from Alan’s hole in one. Tyler has beaten Alan exactly once, by one stroke, and it still counts.
